I'm trying out an experiment where I adapt a workshop I am teaching at a library here in Philly to the internet !! Since it's an experiment I'm pricing it suuuper cheap: $10 for each session - $20 total !!

The workshop will take place on:
Sunday, January 11th from 2-4 PM EST
Sunday, January 18th from 2-4 PM EST

While this is functionally a coding workshop, it's also hella philosophical !! I want to talk about cultivating an anti-capitalist art practice, with the first step involving hand coding a website as a way of removing yourself from the hyper capitalist branding and advertising of social media. Reclaiming the internet as a tool that you have control over instead of an algorithmic hellscape that changes itself without ever asking you !!

The first session will involve me presenting the basics of coding as well as my own personal approach to making art, then we will enter into group discussion and work time (you will be given an exercise and template to start from !!)
The second session will be a week later and involve everyone presenting the websites they've made as well discussing the various readings and concepts that come up in the first lesson.
